A mentalist is a performer who seems to read minds. A guest thinks of a name, and the mentalist says it out loud. An envelope sealed before the show holds the exact word a volunteer picked a minute ago. There are no cards to follow and no props to watch, just a person in a room doing something that feels impossible.
What a mentalism act looks like
- Thought reading. A guest pictures a word, a place or a person, and the mentalist reveals it.
- Predictions. A sealed prediction matches a choice the audience makes live.
- Influence. Guests make what feel like free choices, and the mentalist shows they were predicted.
- Close-up moments. At a table or in a small group, quick tests of mind reading for two or three guests.
Where a mentalist fits
Mentalism is magic for adults. It works well with:
- Corporate audiences. It suits professional guests who would roll their eyes at a rabbit in a hat. See corporate magicians.
- Conferences and meetings. A short set as a break between sessions, or a closing act.
- Gala dinners and award nights. A stage set that the whole room watches.
- Dinner parties at home. A small, intimate set for a few couples. See party magicians.
For a children's party, choose a kids party magician instead.
Our Dubai mentalist and illusionist
The mentalist and illusionist we book in Dubai performs mentalism, close-up magic and stage illusions. He has performed for audiences for more than ten years and works with groups from 5 to 5,000 people, from a table of guests at a wedding to a business party in a ballroom. His mentalism and illusion shows can be fully customised for a corporate audience.
Tailored to your event
A mentalism act can carry a message. A prediction can reveal your theme, your product name or a number that matters to your company. Agree the idea with the team early, because tailored material takes preparation.
